Headquartered in Adelaide and with offices across Australia & New Zealand, Extrastaff is a leader in finding jobs for people in all types of industries. Now Extrastaff has teamed up with Bicycle SA to support the many Bicycle SA Volunteers who are serving the community at every Bicycle SA event by "looking out for bike riders".
In announcing Extrastaff’s sponsorship, CEO of Bicycle SA, Christian Haag, said "we're delighted that Extrastaff have been able to come on board and support our volunteers.
Bicycle SA Volunteers are some of the most skilled, experienced, passionate, entertaining and hard-working Volunteers in the cycling community and make each event possible.
Bicycle SA runs a large number of on and off road events throughout the year including the Mutual Community Challenge Tour, Savings & Loans Coast to Coast and Amy’s Ride. In each case these events would not happen without the help of our Volunteers."
Volunteers help at the Bicycle SA events with event day registration, marshalling riders, providing refreshments and packing down after the event. The number of volunteers at any event can vary from 10 to a couple of hundred at events such as the Savings & Loans Coast to Coast.
In commenting on the Bicycle SA sponsorship Extrastaff’s Managing Director, Declan Rowan, said "Cycling is a great way to keep fit and Bicycle SA have so many options available for all levels of cyclists from fanatical riders looking for the 'King of the Mountain' challenge to people like myself who are getting back on the bike after not riding since I was a teenager.
We are very pleased to announce our sponsorship of Bicycle SA as, just like the riders and volunteers involved in these events, our permanent and temporary staff come from all walks of life.
Extrastaff employs over 3,000 people each year with the good majority of them coming from South Australia and our Bicycle SA sponsorship is a great way of looking out for people’s health as through our sponsorship, Extrastaff employees are able to receive discounts on their registration in Bicycle SA events.
