Role Description

Recruitment Solutions is part of the commercial arm of Business Australia. Specialising in a number of industry sectors, our brands include Extrastaff, Belmore Nurses & Alliance Community just to name a few.

As a result of team growth, an experienced Payroll Officer is required to support the retention and development of customers. Located at our Unley Office and reporting to the Payroll Management Team, the role is to assist with accuracy of payroll and customer invoicing and to deliver exceptional accuracy, quality and customer service to both internal and external parties.

Key Accountabilities and responsibilities include:
  • Processing end to end weekly payroll
  • Ensure the accuracy of statutory requirements
  • Check of payroll data against applicable industrial Modern Award
  • Generate and checking invoices for accuracy
  • Cross check rates within payroll and invoicing systems
  • Resolution of employee and customer queries
  • Update corrections within the system(s)


Essential skills and criteria for the successful applicants will include:
  • Experience in a high volume payroll team including knowledge of Award conditions and EBA's
  • Ability to understand and comply with legal and statutory requirements and processes
  • Demonstrated customer service capability
  • High level of numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced spreadsheet and word processing skills and proficiency to use relevant computer packages
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised and can prioritise to meet set daily goals
  • Easily picks up new systems
